For an evening centred on hearty food and drinks, Eight offers combinations such as ajillo, steak and raw meat dishes. One diner ordered meat dishes alongside carbonara and described the beef as tender enough to melt in the mouth. On another visit, a diner who tried two duck dishes said they arrived piping hot and made an impression with their presentation.

There are also small plates, making ajillo a tempting choice to start with over a drink. Diners who enjoyed it have also recommended the beer, Denki Bran and omurice. For something fresher between richer dishes, there is nagaimo dressed with ume, described as a palate cleanser alongside the meat and drinks.
